Facial Expression Recognition

The face is the most honest communicator we have. Long before a threat becomes physical, it announces itself through micro-expressions — involuntary emotional signals that flash across the face in fractions of a second. This exercise trains you to see them.

HOW THIS EXERCISE WORKS

Phase 1 — Learn: Study the seven universal facial expressions. Learn their key visual markers. Take all the time you need.

Phase 2 — Flash Recognition: A single expression is shown without a label for a set duration. Identify what you saw by selecting one of seven choices.

Speed Progression — Four rounds of 7 images:
  Round 1 — 1.0 second  ·  Round 2 — 0.5 second
  Round 3 — 0.25 second  ·  Round 4 — 0.10 second

Rounds 1 and 2 show feedback after each image. Rounds 3 and 4 show results at round end.
